Fleet Feet Sports is a locally-owned running, walking and fitness specialty store. Through our highly-trained staff, weekly events and regularly scheduled training programs, we hope to help keep Connecticut fit.
Our staff is composed of athletes of varying levels. We are all runners or walkers and are typically also involved in other sports, such as tennis, soccer, and cycling. If you’ve got a problem, chances are one of us has experienced it too. That way we may be able to offer some advice and refer you to the medical or related specialists that we think might help.
We’ve built the store especially for our customers and their families — big dressing rooms so your kids can join you, a toy box so that your kids can be entertained while you are making your decisions, and, of course, personal service — making suggestions on what might be best for you, lacing your shoes, helping you get them on, and checking the fit.
The store was featured in the February, 1999 issue of Runner's World as one of the few women-owned running businesses in the country. Runner’s World invited us to write an article about buying running shoes for the women’s running section of their website. We’ve also been written up in most of the local newspapers, including the Hartford Courant. WTNH News featured us in 2007 in a story about our shoe recycling program.
In 2008, we were awarded by Saucony for hosting the best high school cross-country spike night in the Northeast United States.
Today, we are leading the area in a healthier lifestyle, with multiple groups, such as our No Boundary group, and a Triathlon program.
