Boots and Ellen

David Boutillier (most known as Boots) is a life long resident of Rochester. Born in Webster, NY started running at 10 years of age. Boots ran Cross Country, Winter & Spring Track at Webster H.S. were he graduated in 1988. From there, Boots continued his running career at University of Rochester which led him to an All-American status for Cross Country and being a member of the National Cross Country Championship Team in 1991. Shortly after this time, Boots started working in Running Specialty, where he started his career as a buyer and Manager. Meanwhile, maintaining his running career, while adding cycling to his schedule, Boots entered the duathlon circuit, which led him to being a 9 time member of the US National Team and winning a Gold Medal at Duathlon World Championship in 1996 in Italy. Boots then decided to enter the elite circuit, where he currently races at the Professional Level.

David and Ellen met in 2001 and married February 2003. Ellen, born and raised in Huntington Station, Long Island came to Rochester after graduating from SUNY Plattsburgh in 1993. Ellen too started running at an early age and continued running Cross Country and Track at Walt Whitman H.S. Ellen also started cycling early, since she wasn't allowed to have a car, thus biking everywhere. Once Ellen completed her MBA at Rochester Institute of Technology, she was able to jump start her enthusiasm for multisport in triathlon and duathlon in 1999. Ellen has competed in many Half Ironmans, Olympic and Sprint Distance Multisport Events. Ellen's professional background started in the IT arena as a Project Manager, then moved into Product Management for Terry Precision Cycling. Ellen always had a passion for working in athletics and decided to enter into more Fitness Instruction, Personal Training and Coaching. Ellen has been a long time Spinning Instructor at the JCC of Rochester and also has Core Training, Strength Training and HydroRiding Certifications under her belt.

Today, Boots and Ellen also own YellowJacket Racing, a Rochester based Race Management company that directs 13 running, duathlon and triathlon events throughout Rochester and Syracuse.

Boots and Ellen are very excited to be able to bring Fleet Feet Sports to Rochester.
