Fleet Feet Sports Kingsport, owned and operated by Phil and Melissa Horner, became the 91st franchise in the Fleet Feet Sports family when it opened on March 26, 2009. Natives of Kingsport, the Horners have developed great relationships within the Kingsport and Tri-Cities marketplaces over the years. Phil is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and has been in the building industry as a sales representative and general contractor (which came in handy during the build-out of the franchise). Melissa is a graduate of Carson-Newman College and obtained her Master’s in Education from Tusculum College. She is currently an Administrator with the Kingsport City School System. The Horners have two children, Alex, who is ten, and Sarah, six.
