The popular ASICS GEL-Cumulus 20 celebrates its second decade this year (2018) with a new, stylized update to a brand favorite. And we got first eyes:

THE DEETS

Weight: 10.05 oz. for men’s size 9; 8.32 oz. for women’s size 7

Heel-to-toe drop: 10 mm

MSRP: $120

FIT

The updated ASICS running shoe offers an updated guidance system that enhances your natural stride without feeling overly supportive or cumbersome. The heel counter fits securely (and comfortably) around the heel, the midfoot feels snug, and the forefoot feels more open and breathable compared to previous models.

RIDE

Thanks to the combination of ASCIS’ proprietary FlyteFoam midsole and GEL cushioning in the forefoot, the ride feels smooth and stable. While we wouldn’t classify the GEL-Cumulus 20 as a lightweight trainer, this version offers a plush, pillow-y ride.

CONCLUSION

The forthcoming ASICS GEL-Cumulus 20 is an all-around solid trainer for runners of all levels. It’s best for mileage days and long runs when you want a stable, plush shoe.
