Completing a half marathon is a significant achievement, offering a sense of accomplishment and the rewards of improved fitness and personal growth. It serves as a stepping stone for runners aiming for longer distances or simply wanting to experience the joy and community of race day, especaily on a beautiful, destination course through rolling vineyards like the Livermore Valley Half.
But let's face it - training for a long distance event can start to feel, well, long and lonely sometimes. But not when you are part of a group where like-minded friends share the same goal and support each other to achieve them. The coaching and camaraderie experienced with our 12-week, structured half marathon program will propel you to the finish line. Suddenly, those long runs don't seem so long!
Training together is more motivating and a LOT more fun.

Goal Race - Livermore Valley Half Marathon on March 1, 2026
12-week Training Program Registration: $210
This program is designed for well-prepared, advanced-intermediate level, regular runners, able to finish a 10k running continuously or using 4:1 run/walk intervals at a minimum. Previous successful participants have entered the program at a wide range of mile paces from very fast runner to run-walk enthusiasts. Our coaches know that everyone starts from a different place. You don't have to be fast to begin with, but you will want to put in the work to complete the course within the 3 hour time limit.

TIMES AND LOCATION
Group Workouts: Saturdays at 8:00 am, Wednesdays at 6:30 pm
Location: Fleet Feet store, 234 Main Street in Pleasanton
From time to time, workouts may be scheduled at different locations for variety and special practice sessions. Changes are announced in advance.

REQUIREMENTS
At the start of the program, Half Marathon participants should be regular runners, currently able to finish a 10k using 4:1 run/walk intervals or better
Participants must be 18 years or older and have no active injuries
Participants must use reflective safety gear and carry lights for any nighttime workouts
Participants must have time availability to complete additional workouts on their own
